covid 19

Due to the current situation with COVID-19 there have been some changes to how we work and the way we organise the salon. Below are the precautions we are taking to ensure your safety and ours. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience caused but they are necessary to ensure everyone remains healthy.

It is vital you arrive for your appointment on time, if for whatever reason you arrive early you will be required to wait outside of the salon due to a limit of people within the salon being in place. If you arrive late we may have to cancel your appointment and reschedule it for another day.  We are on a very tight time schedule between appointments to allow sufficient time to sanitise chairs and equipment between clients.

If you have to be accompanied to your appointment regrettably we cannot allow people to wait for you inside the salon, similarly we ask that you don't bring children to your appointment as we have a limit of five stations and no longer have a waiting area or play area for health and safety reasons. If someone is waiting for you then we ask that they wait outside of the salon. We will also be taking your temperature contact-free as you enter and ask you to sign a form to say you are not experiencing any symptoms of the virus. we are also required by law to take down your basic details and hold them for 21 days to assist with 'track and trace'.

When you arrive at the salon you will be asked to use our hands free sanitising station. Your seat will be cleaned before and after each client which means there will be a 15 minute gap in between each appointment to allow for this. The WC will be sanitised after every use by clients and staff throughout the day.

Due to the above described time constraints we cannot offer hot beverages at present, we do however have disposable cups and can provide water on request. Clients may bring their own food and drink into the salon but we would politely request you to dispose of the packaging or waste yourself. Magazines are no longer offered during your appointment, similarly though clients may bring their own reading material.

We are advised that the COVID-19 virus can thrive on hair for a reasonable period of time, due to this we will not be offering dry cuts for now.  We will be washing every clients hair before cutting making sure it is clean and also to ensure the hair doesn't float around the salon and instead immediately drops to the floor. For now we will also no longer be offering perms but this will change as soon as possible, those who have a perm will be notified when this service resumes.  We understand that this measure may be inconvenient but we hope clients will understand the risk outlined above and the necessity for these measures.

All staff will be in full personal protective equipment, following guidelines on best protection stylists will wear face visors rather than paper surgical masks.  If you would prefer your stylist to wear a paper mask as well please ask, paper masks are available for clients to use on request.  Stylists will also be wearing gloves for the duration of your appointment apart from when cutting your hair.

You may notice a small price increase due to provision of PPE and extra cleaning materials, as you may be aware the cost of masks, gloves and hand sanitiser etc. has rocketed during this pandemic.  Please also note that prices are 'from' the actual cost may vary dependent on the condition of your hair when we come to your appointment.

We understand that this is a lot to digest, some of the measures will be inconvenient and unfamiliar.  This is an unprecedented time and challenge we are facing.   we at Head Office are making every effort to welcome you all back to a comfortable and inviting salon but also vitally, a safe salon, please be patient with us and feel free to suggest any changes or improvements.

Lastly, thank you for bearing with us, we look forward to seeing you all soon.
